Giving of Time & Talents

Here are some ways to use your special talents for Missions:

You may continue to give clothing and food items for the Flint Eastside Mission and Carriage Town Ministries. These 'local mission fields' offer much needed help to the people here in the Greater Flint area.

You may donate 'hotel size' samples of shampoo and soaps. These are collected at the Mission Desk near the East Entrance.

We have a group of dedicated ladies that roll bandages for various mission fields around the world. We meet once a month as the Marjorie Merritts Chapter to gather materials and package them for the mission fields.

We are currently making 'Pillowcase Dresses' for Haiti. These dresses can be made from a standard size pillowcase or from cotton material. We meet the third Saturday of each month to cut out and sew these dresses (and boys shorts) and get them ready for shipment to the orphanages in Haiti.

Reading Material

The NMI Council is collecting Christian reading materials Christian literature, such as Holiness Today, Daily Bread, Bibles and devotionals for Nazarenes in other countries.
We also support local ministries that serve people in need right here in Genesee County. Some of these ministries include East Side Mission & Carriage Town Ministry.

Ongoing Collections: Receiving blankets and t-shirts (not onesies) for India. Clothes and hotel sample size personal care items for Carriage Town Ministries and Eastside Mission. Campbell’s soup labels & box tops for education area sent to Sun Valley Indian School to help purchase equipment, including a van. (Please make sure you bring the whole Campbell’s label, the UPC code is needed). Please bring items to the Mission’s Desk at the East entrance.
