Today was a great day. Our team fanned out and worked in many different areas. From digging holes to painting metal trusses, to mixing cement and facilitating a medical clinic, everyone had a place to serve. We were reminded today that though we have different skills and abilities, we are ONE team. Just like Paul wrote to the Corinthians:
"12 Just as a body, though one, has any parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ... 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
In addition to the continued construction efforts, today our team facilitated a medical clinic for residents of Samaria. Word of the clinic traveled quickly and many came to receive help. We partnered with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, and with their help, our team saw around 100 patients in just a few hours.
God saw fit to provide two Doctors, two Nurse Practitioners and three Registered Nurses on our GO Team. How amazing it is to be a part of His plans! Patients were cared for and prayed for - it was a beautiful thing.
We were privileged to share a very nice meal at a restaurant downtown with the District Superintendent, Carlos de la Cruz, and his family, as well as Amable Polanco and his wife Yanin. These are great people and inspiring servants. We are blessed to call them ministry partners and friends. We look forward to another great day of service with them tomorrow.
